Gorgeous Bonaire is located in the Southwestern Caribbean and is part of the ABC islands, which include Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Together, the ABC islands form one of the Caribbean’s most popular vacation spots, with over a million visitors each year. Popular activities in the ABC islands include scuba diving, hiking, sightseeing, gambling, shopping and relaxing at the miles of beautiful beaches.

The wind

Bonaire has very consistent wind conditions almost all year round. The NE tradewinds will blow from November until August with an average of about 18 knots all day long. In September and October wind speeds are lower but you will still have some good days to go kitesurfing.

The School

Kiteboarding Bonaire is dedicated to providing high quality and safe kiteboarding instruction using the best and newest equipment on the market.

Located on the on southwest side of Bonaire, we benefit from the steady tradewinds and calm and crystal clear waters to teach you the “ins and outs” of kiteboarding using our brand new safety boat.

Our main instructor and founder of Kiteboarding Bonaire, Roan Jaspars, has over 7 years of kiteboarding experience and over 5 years of kiteboard/teaching experience. Certified level 2 by the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization), Roan will ensure a fun and safe lesson in which becoming an independent kiteboarder is the main goal.

Thanks to the steady tradewinds, lessons can be given almost every day of the year. Lessons are mostly from 10:00 until 1:00 or from 2:00 until 5:00. Of course we can adapt these times to your convenience.

We teach kiteboarding to anybody who wants to learn this great sport and is able to swim and is at least 10 years old. Thanks to the warm water and the steady winds, learning to kiteboard has never been easier and more accessible!
